Born and raised in Nanaimo, Dr. Christopher Becir holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario where he graduated with distinction.
Dr. Becir’s welcoming and compassionate nature has earned him an excellent reputation among his patients. He takes care to put his patients at ease and is particularly skilled at helping children feel relaxed and comfortable during their dental appointments. Dr. Becir is able to perform a wide range of dental services, from standard restorations to root canals and complicated extractions. Dr. Becir is also trained in Intravenous (IV) sedation, which can help patients feel even more at ease.
In 2016, Dr. Becir received a ‘Comox Valley Local Hero’ award in the Category of Community Builder. This was presented to him for his work treating patients who would otherwise have barriers in receiving dental care. In 2018, Dr. Becir was nominated as one of Vancouver Islands ‘Top 20 Under 40’ for business and community excellence. Dr. Becir is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Cumberland as well as the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Becir has enjoyed living in the Comox Valley for a number of years with his lovely wife Kelsey and their two children. In his free time Dr. Becir enjoys playing squash, golf, tennis and basketball. He also loves the outdoors and likes to ski and kayak.
Born and raised in Victoria, BC, Dr. Danelle Chan graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria, obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Microbiology and Immunology. She continued her education at the University of British Columbia, achieving her Doctor of Dental Medicine designation. She has participated in multiple international volunteer dental trips, providing treatment to under-served populations and those in need.
Dr. Chan is excited to return to the island and serve the Comox Valley community. She aims to create a relaxed and comfortable environment, while offering the highest quality of care to meet all her patient’s needs. She strives to keep her patients well-informed about their options, and promote individualized treatment based on each patient’s best interests. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, baking, and travelling.
